Custom gelato cups FAQ's

What sizes are available for your custom ice cream cups?

We offer a large range sizes: 2oz, 3oz, 5oz, 8oz and 11oz. These cover small tasting portions through to full-serve gelato cups. For larger sizes, we offer our Paper Bowls.

What is the minimum order for custom printing?

Our custom ice cream cups start from just 250 units, making them ideal for both small events and ongoing wholesale use.

Are the custom ice cream cups compostable or recyclable?

You can choose between AS5810 home-compostable cups printed with compost-safe inks, or PE-coated recyclable cups. Both options are suitable for frozen desserts.

Can I print full-colour artwork on the ice cream cups?

For orders under 5,000 units, we offer our Simple Print: your branding on a clean white background for crisp results. For wholesale runs, we can print full-colour backgrounds using individual colour plates (one colour per plate) for rich, all-over coverage.

Do you offer help with the design layout?

Yes. We provide artwork assistance, dielines and free artwork checks to ensure your design wraps cleanly around the curved cup.

Will the cups hold up well with gelato or frozen yoghurt?

Absolutely. Our custom ice cream cups are suitable for gelato, frozen yoghurt and desserts. They also work well as custom gelato cups for takeaway applications and maintain their shape even with wet, cold or dense desserts.

Can I order lids for the ice cream cups?

At this stage, lids are available for our custom paper bowls only. Ice cream cups are supplied without lids. If you require lidded packaging, our paper bowls pair with matching lids.

How long does production take for custom ice cream cups?

Retail orders under 5,000 units: 15 business days after proof approval. Wholesale orders over 10,000 units: 6 weeks.

Can I split my order across multiple designs?

Yes. You can mix several artworks as long as the combined quantity for each size meets the 250-unit minimum.

Are the cups suitable for hot food or only ice cream?

These are designed specifically for frozen desserts. For hot foods, we recommend our paper food bowls instead.

Will the printed colours match my brand colours?

Colours print very accurately on our ice cream cup materials. There may be slight differences due to the material surface, but we match your artwork as closely as possible.

Do you accept Pantone colours?

For our ice cream cups, we use CMYK printing for orders under 5,000 units, while wholesale orders (10,000+ units) use Pantone matching. If your order is under 5,000 units, we will automatically convert your Pantone colours to CMYK.

Do you ship custom ice cream cups around Australia?

Yes. We deliver nationwide with parcel, pallet and express freight options.

Do you have wholesale pricing for high-volume ice cream cup orders?

Yes. We offer structured wholesale pricing for gelato shops, dessert brands, venues and multi-location groups.

Can I get a sample of the ice cream cups before ordering?

Yes, we can send previous print examples. See our Sample Pack.

What artwork file format do you need for custom ice cream cup printing?

Please supply your artwork as a vector PDF with all fonts outlined and images embedded.

  • For Simple Print: Please supply your artwork in CMYK.
  • For Wholesale: Please supply your artwork using PMS (Pantone).
